La nuova collaborazione tra Mark Coverdale e Iain Douglas è un'interpretazione dei 54 versi scritti dal poeta durante ripetute passeggiate lungo un canale di Camden, a Londra. Il re-enactment è ambientato nel mondo di Grand Theft Auto V, che simula un ambiente urbano dinamico, reattivo e “vivo”. Shanks’s 54 esplora il tema dei senzatetto e fornisce una visione di un evento attraverso gli occhi di uno spettatore homeless, portandoci a interrogarci sull’identità del narratore.
Mark Coverdale and Iain Douglas’s new collaboration is an interpretation of the 54 two-line verses written by the poet on repeated walks down a canal in Camden, London. The recreation is set within the world of Grand Theft Auto V, which itself attempts to simulate a dynamic, reactive, “living” urban environment. Shank’s 54 explores homelessness and it provides insight into an event through the eyes of a homeless bystander, leading us to wonder about the identity of the narrator.
