A video essay commissioned by RealTime about David Fincher’s 2007 film Zodiac. Conor Bateman observes how the analogue and the digital, the real and the artificial bleed into a paranoid, video game vision of 1970s San Francisco in David Fincher’s classic crime procedural.

Conor Bateman è scrittore, montatore e direttore di 4:3, una rivista digitale indipendente di cinema. I suoi contributi sono apparsi su Fandor Keyframe, The Lifted Brow, Senses of Cinema. Oggi è Digital and Social Lead presso ABC Arts. In precedenza ha lavorato per il Sydney Film Festival, ABC iview, SBS e l'Università di Sydney. È stato membro della giuria del Possible Worlds Film Festival, ha partecipato al programma Critics Campus del Melbourne International Film Festival ed è stato relatore dell’Emerging Writers Festival e del Melbourne International Film Festival.

Conor Bateman is a writer, video editor, and the managing editor of 4:3, an independent online film magazine. His work has been published in Fandor Keyframe, The Lifted Brow, Senses of Cinema and more. He currently works as the Digital and Social lead at ABC Arts and previously has worked for Sydney Film Festival, ABC iview, SBS, and the University of Sydney. He was a jury member at the Possible Worlds Film Festival, a participant in the Melbourne International Film Festival's Critics Campus program and has been a panelist at the Emerging Writers Festival and the Melbourne International Film Festival.
