Paradise Found esamina i processi sottesi alla disintegrazione e ricostruzione del sé, del corpo e della replica digitale. Per evidenziare le dinamiche di rappresentazione nello spazio elettronico e come queste possano influenzare il nostro comportamento, l'artista ha una replica virtuale utilizzando un motore videoludico, creando una versione idealizzata di se stessa composta da frammenti di altri corpi. Il risultato è un simulacro dotato di vita propria.
Paradise Found examines the processes that inform the disintegration and reconstruction of the self, the body and its digital replica. Highlighting the way we represent ourselves in virtual spaces and how it might impact our behaviour and the shaping of our persona, the artist produced a digital replica using a game engine, creating an idealized version of herself composed of fragments of other bodies. The outcome is a simulacral entity that exists independently of the so-called original.

Lisa Carletta è una fotografa di moda e digital media artist che vive e lavora tra Londra, Bruxelles e Milano. Nel 2017, ha ricevuto un Master in Fine Art presso il Royal College of Art di Londra. La sua pratica combina fotografia, media digitali e tecniche di post-produzione. Carletta investiga il concetto di identità declinato in forma digitale e performativa. La sua estetica è frutto dell’appropriazione creativa di frammenti tratti dalla sfera personale. L’artista crea immagini spesso stravaganti e ipersature, che rivelano tuttavia insicurezze e ansie universali. Carletta costruisce un mondo fantastico in cui nulla è ciò che sembra. L’intensa pratica personale è accompagnata da collaborazioni con Stromae, Selah Sue, Mathias Malzieu, Rossy de Palma, Christine & the Queens, Emilie Simon, Diane Pernet, Vitalic e molti altri.
Lisa Carletta is a Fashion Photographer and Digital Media Artist dividing her time between London, Brussels, and Milan. In 2017, she received a Master in Fine Art at Royal College of Art, London. Carletta's practice combines photography, digital media, and post production techniques. Recurrent themes in her work as the notion of the private, virtual, and idealized self, often lifted from her personal life, so that memories of her past experiences become raw material that can be manipulated. Albeit often whimsical and colorful, the images she produces tend to reveal universal insecurities and anxieties. Lisa’s fantasy worlds are deceitful. In addition to her personal practice, she collaborated with Stromae, Selah Sue, Mathias Malzieu, Rossy de Palma, Christine & the Queens, Emilie Simon, Diane Pernet, Vitalic and many others.
